High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts use EPDM rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber as the cover layer; high-strength polyester fabric or high-penetration cotton fabric is employed as the reinforcing layer.

High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts use EPDM rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber as the cover layer; high-strength polyester fabric or high‑penetration cotton fabric is employed as the reinforcing layer. Between the rubber cover and the carcass layer, heat‑resistant glass fabric may be incorporated to extend the belt’s service life. The tensile strength of the cover layer can be reduced to 70% of the value specified in the table above, and its elongation at break can be lowered to 80%, making these belts particularly suitable for conveying high‑temperature materials such as sintered ore in steel plants, hot coke from coking units, cement clinker, hot castings, and the like.

Based on the primary damage indicators that lead to a loss of conveying capacity in high‑temperature‑resistant belts, and considering varying levels of heat resistance, EPDM or styrene‑butadiene rubber is used for the cover; high‑tenacity polyester fabrics or high‑penetration cotton fabric serve as the reinforcing layer. Between the cover and the carcass, heat‑resistant glass fabric may be incorporated to extend the belt’s service life. Depending on customer requirements, it can be manufactured as an endless belt. High‑temperature‑resistant belts feature a non‑delaminating carcass, low elongation, impact and tear resistance, antistatic properties, water resistance, flame retardancy, high strength, and excellent safety, and are primarily employed in underground coal mines.

A high-temperature-resistant conveyor belt, as its name suggests, is a specialized belt used in high-temperature environments. It is typically employed in the steel, cement, and chemical industries, with its main structure comprising a fire‑resistant layer, a transition layer, an organic insulation layer, a reinforcing layer, and a heat‑resistant layer.

Characteristics: When exposed to high temperatures, the cover layer forms a porous charred layer that is resistant to burning and prevents heat from propagating into the belt’s interior, thereby reducing the loss of internal rubber strength. During belt operation, this charred layer develops small, irregular cracks, providing a cooling effect on the belt body.

High-temperature‑resistant belts are primarily used to convey hot materials such as sintered ore, hot coke, cement clinker, and hot castings, among others. Depending on the belt’s damage indicators and varying levels of heat resistance, EPDM or styrene–butadiene rubber is employed as the cover; high‑strength polyester fabrics or high‑penetration cotton fabrics serve as the reinforcing layer. Between the cover and the carcass, heat‑resistant glass fabric may be incorporated to extend the belt’s service life. Customized as a closed‑loop belt according to customer requirements, these belts are constructed from multiple layers of rubber and cotton fabric (a polyester–cotton blend) covered with heat‑resistant or high‑temperature rubber, vulcanized at elevated temperatures, and suitable for conveying hot coke below 175°C, cement, molten slag, and hot castings.

When using high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts, these five points require attention!

High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts.

New materials strengthen transport equipment, and wear-resistant polymer rollers help reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.

In material-handling applications such as mining, construction, and ports, idler rollers—key components of conveyor systems—directly affect the operational stability of the entire equipment through their performance and durability. Traditional metal idler rollers, constantly exposed to dust, moisture, and material impacts, quickly suffer wear, rust, and excessive noise, while frequent replacement increases maintenance burdens for operators. The adoption of wear‑resistant polymer idler rollers has introduced innovative solutions to the industry.
