Compared with other types of conveyor belts, the steel-cord conveyor belt has the following characteristics:

1. The maximum practical tensile strength of a steel-cord-core conveyor belt can reach 8,400 N/mm, and if necessary, the belt’s tensile strength can exceed 10,000 N/mm.

2. The safety factor used for steel-cord core conveyor belts may be lower than that of textile-core belts; typically, the safety factor for textile-core belts is 10 or higher, whereas for steel-cord core belts it should be 6–7, and if the joint is properly executed and the start-up conditions are reasonable, it can even be reduced to 5.

3. The steel-cord core conveyor belt is well-suited to modern requirements for long-distance, high-volume, high-speed conveying, and can eliminate or reduce transfer points, belt wear, and energy losses.

4. The steel-cord core conveyor belt has low elasticity and a short tensioning stroke.

5. The steel-cord core conveyor belt exhibits excellent troughability and superior straight-line performance, enabling it to convey more material at the same belt width and speed.

6. Steel‑cord core conveyor belts exhibit excellent dynamic performance, enabling the transport of heavy, large‑size ores; the steel cords are embedded within the rubber, and during vulcanization they are enveloped, penetrated, and bonded to the rubber, creating a strong bond between the steel cords and the rubber. This results in superior impact resistance and durability compared to textile‑core belts. Adding a transverse reinforcing layer further enhances impact resistance.

7. The splice of the steel-cord conveyor belt can have the same tensile strength and durability as the belt itself.

When using high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts, these five points require attention!

High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts.

New materials strengthen transport equipment, and wear-resistant polymer rollers help reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.

In material-handling applications such as mining, construction, and ports, idler rollers—key components of conveyor systems—directly affect the operational stability of the entire equipment through their performance and durability. Traditional metal idler rollers, constantly exposed to dust, moisture, and material impacts, quickly suffer wear, rust, and excessive noise, while frequent replacement increases maintenance burdens for operators. The adoption of wear‑resistant polymer idler rollers has introduced innovative solutions to the industry.
