In recent years, with the continuous development of the semiconductor industry, the issue of static electricity has become increasingly apparent. Many may wonder: why does semiconductor manufacturing require antistatic conveyor belts?
In fact, the reason is simple. If static electricity is not prevented and controlled during the semiconductor manufacturing process, it will attract dust, reduce the insulation resistance of electronic components, and thereby affect their service life. During electrostatic discharge, electromagnetic fields or heat may be generated by the flow of electricity, which can cause interference or damage to electronic components.
Static electricity is typically generated by dry air and friction between different materials. Therefore, to prevent static‑electricity issues, the antistatic standards in cleanrooms at semiconductor companies are particularly stringent, as reflected in:
(1) The floor must have good conductivity, so that static electricity can be quickly conducted to the ground;
(2) Humidity should be maintained between 40% and 60% to prevent static electricity caused by excessively low humidity;
(3) Workers must wear antistatic clothing to prevent the generation of static electricity;
(4) During the equipment manufacturing stages, it is necessary to use conductive materials, provide grounding, etc.;
(5) Install static electricity monitoring equipment and, once accumulation is detected, take measures to eliminate it.
It is precisely because cleanrooms impose such stringent requirements for preventing static electricity that conveyor belts used in the semiconductor industry must possess antistatic properties. On the market, the most common antistatic conveyor belts are made of rubber and PVC (polyvinyl chloride). Today, we will focus primarily on the latter.
What is an antistatic conveyor belt?
The antistatic conveyor belt, also known as an antistatic transport belt or antistatic strap, uses imported German nylon rubber as its friction layer, while the nylon substrate serves as the structural layer, delivering excellent antistatic performance and overall superior functionality.

When using high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts, these five points require attention!
High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts.

In material-handling applications such as mining, construction, and ports, idler rollers—key components of conveyor systems—directly affect the operational stability of the entire equipment through their performance and durability. Traditional metal idler rollers, constantly exposed to dust, moisture, and material impacts, quickly suffer wear, rust, and excessive noise, while frequent replacement increases maintenance burdens for operators. The adoption of wear‑resistant polymer idler rollers has introduced innovative solutions to the industry.
