High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts.
High-temperature‑resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high‑temperature‑resistant conveyor belts. So, what key considerations should we keep in mind when using such belts?
1. It is recommended that the high-temperature-resistant conveyor belt be kept clear of idler rollers that are stationary or covered with material, as such obstructions can reduce the belt’s service life. At the same time, ensure proper lubrication of all components of the conveying equipment.
2. To prevent the belt from rotating under load, materials on the belt must be removed before the belt is started.
3. To prevent belt misalignment, corrective measures should be taken promptly.
4. When the surface of the high-temperature‑resistant belt is damaged, it should be repaired promptly to prevent further damage or swelling. Here’s an example of how to repair it: after prolonged use, the belt may become worn; so how do you repair a 300‑cm longitudinal tear? A section of the same material can be cut out in advance. After about 20 minutes, thoroughly sand the damaged area, remove the resulting dust, and apply adhesive. Then, the rubber used to fill the gap must also be coated with adhesive. Once secured with clamps and reinforcing nails, the belt can be put back into service after starting up the machine, and it should last approximately 2 to 3 months.
5. The high-temperature-resistant conveyor belt should be kept clear of obstructions such as structures, pillars, or material piles to prevent belt rupture in the event of impact.

In material-handling applications such as mining, construction, and ports, idler rollers—key components of conveyor systems—directly affect the operational stability of the entire equipment through their performance and durability. Traditional metal idler rollers, constantly exposed to dust, moisture, and material impacts, quickly suffer wear, rust, and excessive noise, while frequent replacement increases maintenance burdens for operators. The adoption of wear‑resistant polymer idler rollers has introduced innovative solutions to the industry.
