Rubber conveyor belts exhibit properties such as resistance to heat, abrasion, burns, oil, alkalis, and cold, among others. During the normal operation of a tubular conveyor, conducting thorough inspections and making timely adjustments are key measures to prevent belt misalignment. In addition, certain modifications are also required:

1. Install a flow‑limiting plate at the rear feed chute. An instantaneous flow rate not exceeding 300 t/h is a necessary condition for the normal operation of the tubular conveyor. As noted in the analysis, there have been instances where the instantaneous flow reached 400 t/h, which was one of the key factors contributing to excessive belt expansion and, potentially, to belt misalignment. To prevent an excessive amount of coal from suddenly entering the conveyor, in addition to strengthening coordination and supervision, improvements were required. To this end, a flow‑limiting plate was installed at the outlet of the rear feed chute. The passage area of the limiting plate must be determined through multiple tests: if it is too small, it will disrupt normal conveying; if it is too large, it will lose its ability to restrict the flow. Following installation, a significant risk was eliminated, achieving the desired effect.

2. Adjust the angle of the guide pressure rollers and add an additional set of pressure rollers. To ensure the reliability of the pressure guide, two sets of pressure rollers were installed upstream of the belt‑tube forming section. The tilt angles of the front and rear roller sets should not be identical but rather graduated: the angle closest to the rear roller should be larger, while the other set should have a smaller angle. The specific angle must be determined on-site, ensuring that the channel‑shaped belt transitions smoothly into the tubular form. To prevent accidents—such as the sudden failure of one roller set or loose screws that compromise adequate pressure on the belt edges—an extra set of rollers was added near the rear roller. This addition is low‑cost yet increases the reliability of the pressure guide by nearly 100%.

3. Extend the unwinding section. For tubular conveyors with a diameter of 250 mm, the minimum length of the unwinding section should be at least 6.25 meters, while the actual length on site is approximately 7 meters. Under normal overlap conditions, this length is sufficient; however, maintaining the ideal overlap position continuously is both impossible and unrealistic. If the tube rotates excessively, the overlap will deviate from its optimal position, and because the unwinding section is short, there is insufficient cushioning, causing the tubular belt to engage with the drive rollers before it has fully unfolded, resulting in misalignment. Whenever feasible on site, appropriately extending the unwinding section helps ensure stable operation of the tubular conveyor.

Why does the semiconductor industry use antistatic conveyor belts?

In recent years, with the continuous advancement of the semiconductor industry, the issue of static electricity has become increasingly apparent. Many may wonder: why do semiconductor manufacturing processes require antistatic conveyor belts?

When using high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts, these five points require attention!

High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts.

New materials strengthen transport equipment, and wear-resistant polymer rollers help reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.

In material-handling applications such as mining, construction, and ports, idler rollers—key components of conveyor systems—directly affect the operational stability of the entire equipment through their performance and durability. Traditional metal idler rollers, constantly exposed to dust, moisture, and material impacts, quickly suffer wear, rust, and excessive noise, while frequent replacement increases maintenance burdens for operators. The adoption of wear‑resistant polymer idler rollers has introduced innovative solutions to the industry.
