The surface treatment methods for rollers can vary depending on the operating environment and application, with different surface treatments being employed. In general, roller surface treatment methods are categorized as follows:
(1) Galvanization
Galvanizing is suitable for industrial equipment in sectors such as light industry, instrumentation, electromechanics, agricultural machinery, and national defense. Today, it is the most common method for surface treatment of rollers. It is a truly environmentally friendly galvanizing process that, compared with traditional oxidation-based galvanizing, offers the following characteristics:
1. It does not use highly toxic cyanides, facilitating wastewater treatment.
2. The coating is crystalline and dense, with good gloss, dispersion, and deep‑penetrating capability similar to that of a cyanide solution, making it suitable for parts with complex shapes.
3. The galvanizing solution is stable and easy to operate.
4. Does not corrode equipment
5. Low cost
(2) Decorative chrome coating
Decorative chrome is primarily used in automobiles, bicycles, everyday hardware, household appliances, instrument switches, mechanical parts, and other equipment. Decorative chrome employs nickel and nickel-chrome plating processes to ensure product quality. With a silvery surface, decorative chrome offers excellent corrosion resistance and an attractive decorative finish, characterized by a high reflectance coefficient.
(3) Rubber coating treatment
The rubber‑coated roller is a rubber product manufactured by covering a steel tube with a layer of rubber and vulcanizing it. Compared to conventional rollers, the coated roller offers elasticity, wear resistance, resistance to acids and alkalis, oil resistance (nitrile rubber), temperature resistance, and does not rust; hard chrome, also known as wear‑resistant chrome, increases surface hardness and enhances resistance to wear, high temperatures, and corrosion. Imported materials and adhesives are used, with natural rubber and nitrile rubber being the most common, available in recommended colors such as black, green, and light gray.
(4) Hard chrome coating
Hard chrome, also known as wear-resistant chrome, increases surface hardness, enhancing resistance to wear, high temperatures, and corrosion. It is used in the treatment of mechanical molds, plastic molds, corrosion-resistant valves, printing rollers, textile and paper machinery, as well as in measuring instruments, with a silver‑colored finish.

When using high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts, these five points require attention!
High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts.

In material-handling applications such as mining, construction, and ports, idler rollers—key components of conveyor systems—directly affect the operational stability of the entire equipment through their performance and durability. Traditional metal idler rollers, constantly exposed to dust, moisture, and material impacts, quickly suffer wear, rust, and excessive noise, while frequent replacement increases maintenance burdens for operators. The adoption of wear‑resistant polymer idler rollers has introduced innovative solutions to the industry.
