Foundation re‑evaluation and alignment: Due to significant civil‑engineering errors, a foundation re‑evaluation is essential during the installation of conveyor belts. First, the projected centerline of the conveyor belt must be measured based on the construction drawings and the reference line provided by the civil‑engineering team, checking for any offsets; if offsets are present, recalibration is required to keep the error within ±3 mm.

(1) Foundation re‑evaluation and marking: Due to significant civil‑engineering construction errors, a foundation re‑evaluation is essential during the installation of conveyor belts. First, the projected centerline of the conveyor belt must be measured based on the construction drawings and the reference line provided by the civil‑engineering team, checking for any offsets; if present, recalibration is required to keep the error within ±3 mm. Next, using the centerline as a reference, verify that the position of each branch foundation is correct and that the curved area of the support plate meets the specifications, then mark the base centerline of the conveyor support on the support plate. Finally, with the 0‑mm datum supplied by the construction department, use a level to re‑evaluate the elevation of each branch foundation; if the elevation is too low, steel plates may be added until the deviation from the design elevation falls within ±5 mm, welding the steel plate to the base with full‑penetration V‑groove welds, using weld beads equal in thickness to the plate. If the elevation is too high, the construction department must cut back the foundation and rebuild it.

(2) Installation of the support structures at the head, tail, and intermediate locations: First, use a crane to lift the head and tail sections and position them, aligning the equipment with the foundation line already marked, using a plumb bob and level to ensure verticality and proper leveling. A qualified welder must weld the base to the embedded block to secure the equipment. Next, install the intermediate supports. To save labor, resources, and costs, the sectional lifting method should be used whenever possible, transferring much of the high‑altitude work to ground level. Ensuring that the partition supports are horizontally aligned, avoiding any steps or unevenness, presents a challenge on site. The solution is to use a 1.7‑mm steel wire with weights suspended at its ends, supported by the head and tail rollers, and, following the wire’s alignment, determine the height of the rollers on the intermediate supports.

(3) Conveyor belt installation: During installation, workspace is often limited, making the use of machinery difficult. For conveyors with a fixed design angle, the belt must be fed in from the upper end, using specialized tools and a manual winch to pull the belt into the correct position. When splicing, cut half the belt thickness at the ends, apply adhesive, and secure firmly with special fixtures to prevent slack under load; tap the splice with a hammer and press it down with weights. The overlap length must be at least 1.0 mm, and during splicing, pay attention to the ambient temperature, taking protective measures if it is too low.

Why does the semiconductor industry use antistatic conveyor belts?

In recent years, with the continuous advancement of the semiconductor industry, the issue of static electricity has become increasingly apparent. Many may wonder: why do semiconductor manufacturing processes require antistatic conveyor belts?

When using high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts, these five points require attention!

High-temperature-resistant conveyor belts are typically used to transport hot materials and feature high stability, excellent performance, and a long service life. Although these products offer numerous advantages, each one has a limited lifespan, and improper use can shorten the service life of high-temperature-resistant conveyor belts.

New materials strengthen transport equipment, and wear-resistant polymer rollers help reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.

In material-handling applications such as mining, construction, and ports, idler rollers—key components of conveyor systems—directly affect the operational stability of the entire equipment through their performance and durability. Traditional metal idler rollers, constantly exposed to dust, moisture, and material impacts, quickly suffer wear, rust, and excessive noise, while frequent replacement increases maintenance burdens for operators. The adoption of wear‑resistant polymer idler rollers has introduced innovative solutions to the industry.
